ON THE GROUND
Our new model at Serenbe proves that reduced square footage does not have to equate to cramped, tight spaces. This Nest cottage checks in at 1,023 square feet and features a vaulted ceiling, a master on the main level, secondary bedroom upstairs, an office-loft space and even a pet nook under the stair.
This Nest cottage also features 21st century wiring technology, a solar array, a reclaimed wastewater irrigation system, and the geothermal system that will heat and cool the homes.
Rolling topography contributes to the site for the gathering of houses which are situated between the organic farm and the pond.
NEST NEWS
July 10, 2010 –
Excitement was high, as the first Lew Oliver Nest Cottage, number A0001, cottage opened Saturday evening. A crowd of about 100 toured the cottage, giving it rave decorating reviews, and marveling that the eco-cottage was only 1023 square feet! Steve Nygren, Serenbe Town Founder; and Lew Oliver, creator of the Lew Oliver Nest cottage line, recognized the partners involved in bringing the innovation to realty. From energy consultants to interior design, the house has been beautifully designed and merchandized to set a new bar for optimal eco-performance in a highly stylish manner.
Just prior to the event, Lew Oliver consultant, Dave Carney, was putting the finishing touches on the drawings for the first pre-sale, in time for Garnie Nygren to present it to the owners who were attending the festivity.
