OUR FIRST NEST COTTAGE
The Nest Model…wow, what a welcome change to the Metro Atlanta landscape. At just 1,000 square feet, this model home lives big, with a light filled, open floor plan, and super-efficient design. It is just plain wonderful to look at and be in. The building design is firmly rooted in the Southern tradition, with Creole flavors. Slender french doors, delicate chamfered pencil posts, and the cat-slide roof allude to the vernacular of the area. The interior space is high drama with a soaring ceiling, work loft, and farmhouse kitchen. A mini-master on-main suite and a crow's nest up-stairs bedroom complete the cottage. The Serenbe Design Center has expertly combined painted wood plank walls, an earth plastered fireplace, rural/industrial chic chandeliers, and classic, back-to-basics bathrooms. A whitewashed french settee, a rugged pine kitchen table, local folk art and modern photography complete the vision of rural utopia.
